Academy of Worship Arts
At the Academy of Worship Arts, students will study and learn to incorporate a lifestyle of worship. In this pilot semester we will offer: Drums, Bass Guitar, Keys, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, and Vocals. Along with small group instruction, students will participate in the Biblical Worldview of Worship class.
Beginner Level
For those who have not studied an instrument.
Cost: $300/semester – 30 minutes per week of instruction.
Schedule:
- Lessons will be individual or small group (3 students per instructor) given at a time that works for the instructor and the student(s).
Intermediate Level
For those who have some knowledge on their instrument.
Cost: $480/semester – 60 minutes per week of small group instruction*, plus 30 minutes per week of Biblical Worldview of Worship.
Schedule (this level meets on Tuesdays with two class times available):
- Class 1 – 3:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. – Instruction & Music Theory 4:45 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. –Biblical Worldview of Worship
- Class 2 – 4:15 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. – Biblical Worldview of Worship 4:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. –instruction & Music Theory
* small groups are up to 3 students per instructor and include Music Theory
Advanced Level
For those who are fairly proficient on their instrument and desire to gain experience playing with a worship band.
Cost: $550/semester – 90 minutes per week of small group instruction*, plus 30 minutes per week of Biblical Worldview of Worship.
Schedule (this level meets on Wednesdays and will be on a four-week cycle):
- Class 1 – 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Instruction, including Music Theory
- Class 2 – 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Biblical Worldview of Worship
- First two weeks will include learning to play two worship songs and work on technique and Music Theory.
- Second two weeks will include participating in a worship band setting learning the nuances of playing in a band.
