New Voices Writers

The writing ministry of New Song exists first for the person who likes to write, enriching personal worship through writing. Second, New Voices exists to provide a place or service, enriching corporate worship through writing. To meet these two goals, New Voices is committed to providing education and a supportive community for those who wish to further develop their writing skills. It will also provide ministry opportunities. New Song needs writers to help propagate the worship of God through stories, poetry, songs and devotionals.

New Voices invites participation from writers at any level, whether they simply like to learn how to start a prayer journal or want to use writing experience to serve the church. The goal is to provide an appropriate outlet for individuals to fill specific writing needs.

Writing opportunities at New Song include the following:

• Bulletin - articles ranging from testimonials to devotionals
• Website - true and fictional stories, testimonies, interviews, etc.
• Sunday services - drama, poetry readings, songs
• Research - requests for specific information for a sermon or series Creative Writing

We meet every second Saturday of each month, 1:00pm at the home of Joanne Chantelau in Franklin.
