Do you desire a closer walk with the Lord? Are you serious about gaining a deeper understanding of His ultimate purpose in the world? Are you seeking to learn how to strategically invest your life to see God glorified? Perspectives on the World Christian Movement is a 15-week Christian education course designed to help believers learn more about God’s heart for all nations and how believers worldwide can play an active role in the Great Commission. On Monday evenings beginning August 17, Fellowship Bible Church will be hosting Perspectives on the World Christian Movement. BAPTISM CELEBRATION

Have you recently received Jesus as you Lord and Savior? Now is your opportunity to publicly profess your commitment to Him through water baptism. We will be having a baptismal celebration August 30. If you would like to take part in this celebration and be water baptized, be sure to sign up at the Welcome Center. Contact Ian Collins at 377-8037 x244 for specific details.

NSCA partners with parents to blend the best of home-school and private Christian education for students in grades K-8. We are excited to invite New Song Christian Fellowship home school families to make application for the 09-10 school year. Are you ready to get in a good run while supporting a non-profit ministry? This Labor Day, Mercy Children’s Clinic is having their 31st annual Franklin Classic in Historic Downtown Franklin. Participants have a choice between doing a 5k run, a 10k run, or a 4k walk. Over half of the people who come however are simply there to enjoy the fun atmosphere. There will also be a kid’s fun zone as well as a 1k “fun run” for children. For more information, please visit franklinclassic.org.

Local:  There are many families in our New Song body that are currently unemployed and looking for work or are in the middle of a lot of transition.  Please lift up individuals and families in prayer asking the Lord to open new doors of opportunity, meet financial needs, supply great grace for change and transition, and give wisdom and clarity to move forward in prophetic precision.

Global: Please continue to lift up our overseas ministry partners all over the world, praying for protection, provision, open doors for ministry to people, health, and spiritual growth.

Weekly Prayer Points

Local: Many schools in TN are starting next week! Pray for boldness for young believers to make known the gospel in their words and actions to other students. Pray that during this school year many hearts would be awakened to Christ’s love for them.

Global: The monsoon season has proven very inconsistent this year in South Asia, with some parts of India and Nepal experiencing floods and landslides, and other parts in drought. Crops in the region are dependent upon the annual monsoon rains, which affected food supplies. Please pray for the wisdom and power of God to fill the Christians in South Asia right now, that God may be glorified in His wisdom through His people and many would turn to Him in this time of need.

Backpack Giveaway

Tie your shoe-laces and sharpen your pencils! The Big Backpack Giveaway is taking place on Saturday, August 8 from 4-6 p.m. on the Liberty Elementary School Grounds. Backpacks filled with supplies will be given to students in need, and there will also be music, food, activities and prizes.
