Save the Date
National Day Of Prayer is next Thursday, May 7. More details to come next week.
Weekly Prayer Points:
Local: Please pray for the prodigal children of those families in our city. Pray for their hearts to be softened and turned back to the Father. Ask the Lord to remove the veil of deception unto a revelation of the truth of who He is. Also pray for the parents of these children to walk in wisdom and love, being comforted and encouraged by the Spirit. Pray for God’s original purpose and destiny for these children to be fulfilled.
Global: Chinese house churches, otherwise known as “the underground church”, are unregistered assemblies of Christians in the People’s Republic of China. Since they are not official registered organizations, they cannot own property and thus meet secretly in homes, abandoned buildings, sometimes even in caves or woods. Everytime they meet they chance being caught, arrested, imprisoned, tortured and even killed for their faith. Please pray for these brothers and sisters in Christ who are literally living out being persecuted for their beliefs. Pray for the Lord to change the hearts of those in government who make the laws that do not permit open and free worship of Christ.

Cinco de Mayo! Join us Saturday, May 2 at New Song Woodbine.
We are planning a celebration this year that is going to be the best one yet! This event is a unique opportunity to reach out to our neighbors in the Woodbine area and enjoy a day of fun and celebration together.
Weekly Prayer Points:
Local: Spend some time this week in prayer and/or prayerwalking for the city in which you live, particularly for your neighborhood. Specifically: 1) Pray for God to break any and all strongholds that keep people from coming to Christ, 2) Pray the resurrection life of Jesus into the finances of families who are struggling, and 3) Ask God to give you His heart for the people in your area, a heart of serving and not self-focus.
Global: Many people around the globe worship gods that do not hear, do not see, and do not answer. We, however, serve a mighty God who sent His only Son into the world to seek and save that which was lost. Please pray for those who do not know Jesus as the true Son of God, whose mind is veiled and eyes blinded to the truth. Pray that the lifeless idols and gods they serve would be brought down and crushed and that they would see Jesus for who He truly is. We want everyone to experience the true freedom that comes from relationship with the one and only true God.

Daily Prayer Point from the “Seek God for the City 2009″ Handbook:
Pray for the coming generation… That people who are now small children would become passionate followers of Christ; that they will finish evangelizing the world; that they will overcome evil and bring forth the promised blessing of God upon all peoples; that they will give Christ the finest whole-life worship of all history.
Prayerwalk: Walk your city consciously thinking of the people who will live and work there in years to come, should the Lord tarry. Pray for the generation that will be dwelling in your city when Jesus returns.
“…how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings…you will not see Me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.’” Matthew 23:37-39
