Eat Mor Chikin’

Our Global BootCamp students are going to Mexico, and Chick-fil-A has offered to partner with our GBC students to help cover the cost of their trip. How can you help? Meet your New Song friends (or take your family) to the Cool Springs Chick-fil-A (located on Cool Springs Blvd.) for dinner this coming Wednesday or Thursday (January 21-22) between the hours of 5 – 8p.m. Chick-fil-A will give a percentage of the profits from those evenings to the Global BootCamp Program to help cover their trip costs.  Please come out and join us – make sure you tell them you’re there for Global BootCamp!

Are you Medically Minded?

We would like to know if you are in the medical or dental field, so that we can facilitate medical missions with our partners around the world. We need people who can train others in some basic health issues, help us resource medical/dental materials and then some who might go to the nations. If you are one of our folks who work in this area please let us know by emailing John Hall at jhall@new-song.com or call John at 615 424 9800.

Welcome to Our World

Congratulations to Eric and Rhonda Hart on the birth of their son, Jett Michael Hart. Jett was born on Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 at 1:10 pm. He weighed 8 pounds and 3 ounces and measured 20.5 inches. Jett will be well entertained by his five siblings. We rejoice with you!

PRAYER POINTS:

Local:
Franktown Open Hearts is one of our local ministry partners. They work with men ages 8-18 in Williamson County. Every Thursday night 50-100 young men come together for fellowship, food, fun activities, and most importantly, prayer and a Christian life lesson. Please be in prayer for these young men, that they would know the love of Christ. Pray for wisdom and direction for the volunteer leaders as they shepherd the hearts of these young men.

Global:
Please continue to be in prayer for the situation in the Gaza. Egyptian mediators pushed the Hamas group to accept a truce proposal for the Gaza strip while the U.N. secretary general headed to the region to join efforts for a cease-fire. So many people have died. Pray for the Lord to intervene and for those that have lost friends and family to the attacks.
