July 23, 2008 · Print This Article

We’re excited to announce that New Song and Strong Tower Church have partnered together to give away backpacks filled with school supplies to Williamson Country students in need for the 2008-2009 school year. Here’s how you can get involved:

This Sunday, July 27, we will be collecting NEW backpacks (filled with grade appropriate school supplies) at all New Song locations. At the end of this post you will find the school supplies that are needed.

If you’d prefer to sponsor one or more backpacks. click here to give online via Paypal and just indicate that your donation is for the “Big Backpack Giveaway.” Each backpack is valued at $15.

On Saturday, August 2 at Liberty Elementary School from 4:00-6:30 p.m., we will be throwing a carnival style party to give away all of the backpacks and school supplies collected. You and your family are invited to attend this fun occasion. In fact, if you’d like to volunteer, we need your help manning booths and handing out supplies. Contact Kelsey Shockey at kshockey@new-song.com if you’re interested.

Thanks for your participation in advance. We’re thrilled to be partnering with Strong Tower and seeing yet another way that we can “Reach Out” to our neighbors.
